I don't know if it is relevant but the i3 does have an official update but it is a hardware install - would doubt that it is available now. I installed on into a Korg i5M (similar vintage) and in was very intermittent but basically unsuccessful. It is possible that the i3 may not have suitable firmware for a diskette emulator.

Hi, All not posted for a long time I am in need of some help! I have an old i3 and the floppy drive has given up the ghost, it started to not see the disk, and I assumed that it was time to upgrade to a USB emulator, I purchased a Gotek unit and followed the instructions to format the USB stick worked fine but the I3 is not seeing the drive, I have confirmed that the jumpers are in the right place and the cables are correctly installed.
